SQL Server 2022 Enterprise

Enterprise edition removes the memory and feature ceilings of Standard. The capabilities that usually justify it are multi-replica Always On availability groups, online index rebuilds without downtime, table and index partitioning at scale, and unrestricted buffer pool memory.

It is licensed per core only, with a four-core minimum. Given the price step over Standard, it is worth confirming that a specific Enterprise feature is genuinely required before committing.
