The MSA family covers shared block storage for small and mid-sized virtualisation clusters: dual controllers for redundancy, a mix of SSD and spinning media with automated tiering, and connectivity over Fibre Channel, iSCSI or SAS.

Sizing is driven by IOPS and recovery objectives rather than raw capacity. We work from the workload profile, because a capacity-led purchase that ignores IOPS is the most common way storage projects disappoint.
